10 Best Sciatica Stretches During Pregnancy

According to National Institute of Health, 80 percent of pregnant women report back pain at some point during their pregnancy. If you are pregnant and are experiencing mild to severe pain in your hip and buttocks that radiates to your thigh, you are most likely experiencing sciatica. Pain from sciatica can be dull, or it can be a sharp, shooting pain. 1. Table stretch

As the name denotes, you can use a table, or if you would prefer, you may use a chair. While in the standing position, place your feet a bit wider than your hips. Place your hands on the table, and gently lean forward. Make sure to keep your back flat and your arms straight.

Next, move your hips away from the table until you feel a stretch in your lower back and the back of your legs. To increase the stretch, you can move your hips from side to side. Hold this stretch for 30 seconds up to one minute.
