If you’re expecting a baby, you have to make adjustments to your life in numerous ways, from how often you need to use the restroom to how big your appetite is. Your sex life is also going to be affected, as it’s completely possible to have sex, but it’s not going to be as easy as it was for your pre-pregnant self. Your hormones will increase, as will your sexual desire, so you’ll want to find a way. This is what you need to know about having sex while pregnant.
1. It depends how far along you are
You might be able to perform missionary with relative ease during the first trimester, as sex during early pregnancy isn’t greatly difficult. However, as your pregnancy furthers and your belly expands you’re going to have to make more provisions. Lying on your back in the second trimester and onwards can inhibit the placenta’s ability to receive blood. The best sex position during pregnancy at these stages could be considered to be ones like doggy style and spooning positions. Be sure to stop any position if it causes any level of discomfort for you and/or your partner.
